Method
Prepare the Wild Rice
Cook the Wild Rice
In a medium saucepan, bring water or broth to a boil. Add wild rice and a pinch of salt. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about 45-50 minutes, or until the rice is tender. Fluff with a fork and set aside.
Make the Basil Butter
Prepare the Basil Butter
In a small bowl, mix together softened butter, chopped basil, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Set aside.
Broil the Fish
Add Basil Butter
During the last minute of broiling, spoon the basil butter over the fish and allow it to melt.
Sauté the Vegetables
Serve
Plate and Serve
Serve the broiled fish on a plate alongside a portion of wild rice and sautéed vegetables. Enjoy your meal!
