Brew Ingredients

Method

Brewing Process

  1. 1

    Prepare the Mash

In a large pot, heat the water to around 160°F (70°C) and add the barley malt, stirring well. Let the mixture sit for about 60 minutes to allow the sugars to extract from the barley.

  2. 2

    Boil the Mixture

After the mash is ready, bring the mixture to a boil. Add the hops and boil for an additional 60 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  3. 3

    Cool the Brew

Once boiling is complete, cool the brew quickly using an immersion chiller or by placing the pot in an ice bath until it reaches about 70°F (21°C).

  4. 4

    Fermentation

Transfer the cooled brew to a sanitized fermentation vessel. Add the yeast, sugar, and salt, then seal the vessel with an airlock. Allow it to ferment in a cool, dark place for about 1 to 2 weeks.

  5. 5

    Bottling

After fermentation, transfer the brew into sanitized bottles, leaving some space at the top. Cap the bottles and let them carbonate at room temperature for another week.

  6. 6

    Enjoy

Chill the bottles in the refrigerator before serving. Enjoy your homemade Thin Brewery brew responsibly!
