Method
Preparation
- 1
Cook the Chicken
If not already cooked, grill or bake the chicken breast until fully cooked. Let it cool, then shred or chop into bite-sized pieces.
- 2
Prepare the Rice and Beans
Cook the rice according to package instructions. If using canned black beans, rinse and drain them well.
Assembly
- 3
Mix the Filling
In a large bowl, combine the cooked chicken, cooked rice, black beans, shredded cheese, cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- 4
Fill the Tortillas
Lay out the flour tortillas on a flat surface. Place an equal amount of the filling mixture in the center of each tortilla.
- 5
Roll the Burritos
Fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling, then roll from the bottom up tightly to enclose the filling. Repeat for all tortillas.
Cooking
- 6
Heat the Burritos
In a skillet over medium heat, place the rolled burritos seam-side down. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until the tortillas are golden and crispy.

Serve the Burritos
Cut the burritos in half if desired, and serve them warm with optional toppings like sour cream, salsa, and chopped cilantro.
