Method
Cocktail
Prepare glass
Run the lime wedge around the outer rim of a chilled rocks or coupe glass to moisten. Pour the coarse salt onto a small plate and dip the moistened rim into the salt to create an even salt rim. Set the glass aside to dry for a moment.
Absinthe rinse
Pour the lucid absinthe into a small measuring spoon or shot glass. Carefully pour or swirl the 1/4 teaspoon of absinthe into the prepared serving glass, tilting and rotating so the absinthe coats the inside surface. Discard any excess by tipping it out or blotting with a paper towel — you want only a light aromatic rinse, not a full measure.
Mix
In a cocktail shaker add 2 oz Corazón Reposado tequila, 1 oz triple sec, 1 oz fresh lime juice, and 1/2 oz agave syrup. Fill the shaker with ice (about 3/4 full or roughly 1 cup).
Shake
Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is cold and well-chilled and the contents are properly diluted and aerated.
Strain and serve
Double-strain the mixture (using the shaker's strainer and a fine mesh strainer if available) into the absinthe-rinsed, salt-rimmed glass over fresh ice if serving on the rocks, or without ice for a coupe presentation.
Garnish
Express a lime peel over the drink or drop a lime wheel/wedge onto the rim as garnish. Serve immediately.
Taste and adjust: if you prefer a sweeter cocktail, stir in an additional 1/4 oz agave syrup; for brighter acidity, add 1/4 oz more fresh lime juice. Note the absinthe rinse is intended to add subtle anise complexity — do not increase its quantity unless you want a much stronger licorice note.
