1

Chill the glass

Place a coupe or martini glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes or fill it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail to ensure the drink stays cold and crisp.

2

Combine ingredients

Fill a cocktail shaker with the specified amount of ice (about 1 cup). Pour in 2 oz Tito's Vodka, 0.5 oz triple sec, 0.5 oz fresh lime juice, 1 oz cranberry juice, and 0.25 oz simple syrup if you prefer a slightly sweeter Cosmo.

3

Shake

Seal the shaker and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker becomes cold and slightly frosty. This chills the drink quickly and provides slight dilution for balance.

4

Strain

Discard ice or water from the chilled glass. Double-strain the cocktail into the chilled coupe or martini glass using a Hawthorne strainer and, if available, a fine mesh strainer to catch small ice shards and pulp for a silkier texture.

5

Garnish and serve

Express the oils of a lime twist or a strip of orange peel over the drink by holding it skin-side down and giving it a firm twist, then drop the twist into the glass as garnish. Serve immediately.

6

Notes

Adjust cranberry juice up to 1.25 oz if you prefer more fruit-forward flavor, or omit the simple syrup if using a sweeter cranberry cocktail. Fresh lime juice is strongly recommended for bright acidity.
