Waffle Preparation

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt until well combined.

Combine Mixtures
Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.

Preheat Waffle Iron
Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Cook Waffles
Spray the waffle iron with non-stick cooking spray. Pour an appropriate amount of batter onto the center of the preheated waffle iron (typically about 1 cup, depending on the size of your iron). Close the lid and cook until the waffles are golden brown and crisp (about 5 minutes).

Once cooked, carefully remove the waffle from the iron and place it on a plate.

Top the warm waffle with 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream.
