Method

Waffle Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt until well combined.

  2. 2

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, mix the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.

  3. 3

    Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.

  4. 4

    Preheat Waffle Iron

Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.

  5. 5

    Cook Waffles

Spray the waffle iron with non-stick cooking spray. Pour an appropriate amount of batter onto the center of the preheated waffle iron (typically about 1 cup, depending on the size of your iron). Close the lid and cook until the waffles are golden brown and crisp (about 5 minutes).

  6. 6

    Serve Waffles

Once cooked, carefully remove the waffle from the iron and place it on a plate.

Topping Application

  1. 7

    Add Ice Cream

Top the warm waffle with 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream.

  2. 8

    Drizzle Syrup

Drizzle your choice of caramel or chocolate syrup over the ice cream and waffle to taste.

  3. 9

    Garnish and Enjoy

Optional: Garnish with chopped nuts, whipped cream, or seasonal fruit if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy your Flying Waffle!
