Base Ingredients

Method

Preparation of Base

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

  2. 2

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, milk, vanilla extract, and eggs until smooth.

  3. 3

    Combine Mixtures

Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.

  4. 4

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a heart-shaped baking pan.

Heart-Shaped Filling

  1. 5

    Prepare Filling

In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar and heavy cream, mixing until creamy and well combined.

  2. 6

    Add Strawberry Flavor

Fold in the strawberry jam and chopped fresh strawberries into the cream cheese mixture until evenly distributed.

Assembly and Baking

  1. 7

    Layer the Batter

Pour half of the batter into the prepared heart-shaped baking pan and spread evenly.

  2. 8

    Add Filling

Spoon the heart-shaped filling over the batter, spreading it evenly without reaching the edges.

  3. 9

    Top with Remaining Batter

Pour the remaining batter over the filling, covering it completely.

  4. 10

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  5. 11

    Cool Down

Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Topping and Serving

  1. 12

    Prepare Toppings

Once the cake is completely cooled, spread whipped cream over the top and decorate with sliced fresh strawberries and mint leaves.

  2. 13

    Slice and Serve

Slice the cake into heart shapes and serve immediately. Enjoy your Flying Heart!
