Method

Preparing the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Mixing Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Mix well until combined.

  2. 2

    Forming Patties

Form the mixture into two equal patties, each weighing approximately 8 oz.

Cooking the Bacon

  1. 3

    Cooking Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove from heat and let drain on paper towels.

Frying Jalapenos

  1. 4

    Preparing Jalapenos

Slice the jalapenos into rings (remove seeds if desired).

  2. 5

    Mixing Breading

In a bowl, whisk together the flour and cornmeal.

  3. 6

    Preparing Egg Wash

In another bowl, beat the egg and mix with milk.

  4. 7

    Breading Jalapenos

Dip each jalapeno slice into the egg wash, then coat with the flour and cornmeal mixture.

  5. 8

    Frying Jalapenos

In a deep skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Fry the breaded jalapenos until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Cooking the Burger

    Placing Patty

Place the cooked burger patty on the bottom half of the bun.

  2. 11
