Method

Pretzel Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm water and active dry yeast. Allow it to sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.

  2. 2

    Mix Ingredients

Add the sugar, salt, and melted butter into the yeast mixture and stir well.

  3. 3

    Knead Dough

Gradually add the all-purpose flour, mixing until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.

  4. 4

    Let Dough Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Shaping and Baking

  1. 5

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. 6

    Shape Pretzels

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into 4 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a long rope and twist it into a pretzel shape.

  3. 7

    Boil Pretzels

In a large pot, bring the water to a boil and add the baking soda. Carefully place each pretzel into the boiling water for about 30 seconds, then remove them and place on the prepared baking sheet.

  4. 8

    Bake Pretzels

Sprinkle coarse sea salt over the pretzels before baking them in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.

Beer Mustard Preparation

  1. 9

    Combine Ingredients

In a small bowl, mix together the yellow mustard, beer, honey, and apple cider vinegar until smooth.

Spicy Spinach Cheese Dip Preparation

  1. 10

    Mix Cheese Base

In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, and shredded mozzarella cheese, mixing until well blended.

  2. 11

    Add Spinach and Spice

Add the chopped spinach, diced jalapeño, garlic powder, and salt to the cheese mixture, and stir until everything is well incorporated.

  3. 12

    Bake Dip

Transfer the mixture to an oven-safe dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 20 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly.
