Method

Salad Preparation

  1. 1

    Chop the Vegetables

Wash and chop the romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces. Halve the grape tomatoes. Peel and shred the carrots. Dice the red bell pepper. Slice the green onions thinly.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Proteins

Dice the deli turkey and ham into small pieces. Crumble the bleu cheese.

Crouton Preparation

  1. 3

    Make the Croutons

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the bread into small cubes. In a bowl, toss the bread cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, and salt until evenly coated.

  2. 4

    Bake the Croutons

Spread the seasoned bread cubes on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Stir halfway through to ensure even browning.

Dressing Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Dressing

In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, red wine vinegar, Dijon mustard, honey, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Assemble the Salad

In a large salad bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce, grape tomatoes, shredded carrots, diced red bell pepper, and sliced green onions. Add the diced turkey, ham, and crumbled bleu cheese.

  2. 7

    Add Croutons and Dressing

Top the salad with the homemade croutons and drizzle the prepared dressing over the top. Toss gently to combine and evenly coat the salad.
