Burger Patty

Buns and Condiments

Method

Preparing the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Make the Patty Mixture

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each into a patty, about 3/4 inch thick. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up while cooking.

Cooking the Patties

  1. 3

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

  2. 4

    Add Buffalo Sauce

During the last minute of cooking, brush the tops of the patties with buffalo sauce to coat.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 5

    Toast the Buns

In a separate skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the burger buns, cut side down, and toast until golden brown.

  2. 6

    Layer the Burger

On the bottom half of each bun, place a patty. Top with sliced jalapeños, a slice of pepper jack cheese, shredded lettuce, a slice of tomato, and pickles.

  3. 7

    Complete the Burger

Place the top half of the bun on the assembled ingredients to complete the burger.
