Tiramisu Ingredients
Method
Tiramisu Preparation
- 1
Prepare Coffee Mixture
Brew the espresso and let it cool slightly. In a shallow dish, combine the espresso and dark rum. Set aside.
- 2
Make the Mascarpone Mixture
In a large bowl, whisk together the mascarpone cheese, granulated sugar, and orange zest until smooth and creamy.
- 3
Whip the Cream
In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined.
- 4
Assemble the Tiramisu
Dip each lady finger briefly into the coffee mixture, making sure not to soak them. Arrange a layer of dipped lady fingers in the bottom of a serving dish. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the lady fingers. Repeat with another layer of dipped lady fingers and top with the remaining mascarpone mixture.
- 5
Chill and Serve
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight. Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder.
