Preparation Steps
- 1
Prepare the Housemade Focaccia
If you haven't already prepared the focaccia, start by mixing flour, water, yeast, olive oil, and salt. Let it rise for 1-2 hours, shape it in a baking tray, and allow it to rise again before baking at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- 2
Assemble the Sandwich
Once the focaccia has cooled slightly, slice it horizontally. Layer the prosciutto, coppa, finocchiona, and ham evenly on the bottom slice. Add slices of provolone cheese on top.
- 3
Add Relish and Vinaigrette
Spread the Neapolitan relish generously over the provolone cheese. Drizzle the oregano vinaigrette over the relish.
- 4
Finish and Serve
Top with the other slice of focaccia. Cut into halves or quarters, depending on your preference. Serve immediately.
- 5
Spicy Option
For the LENNY BERNSTEIN spicy version, add sliced jalapeños or a spicy pepper relish before closing the sandwich.
