Burger Assembly

Method

Prepare the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Form the Burger Patty

In a mixing bowl, combine the Wagyu beef with salt and black pepper. Mix gently to avoid overworking the meat. Form into a patty approximately 1-inch thick.

  2. 2

    Cook the Burger Patty

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the hamburger patty for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patty and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes or until it reaches your desired doneness.

Prepare the Toppings

  1. 3

    Slice the Tomato

Wash the tomato and slice it into round slices, about 1/4-inch thick.

  2. 4

    Prepare the Lettuce

Wash and dry the lettuce, then tear it into pieces that will fit easily on the burger.

  3. 5

    Gather Additional Toppings

Ensure that the pickled red onions and bacon jam are ready for assembly.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 6

    Toast the Burger Buns

If desired, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until lightly golden.

  2. 7

    Build the Burger

On the bottom half of each bun, place a layer of lettuce, followed by the cooked Wagyu patty, a slice of tomato, pickled red onions, a tablespoon of bacon jam, and finally, a slice of Tillamook cheddar cheese. Top with the other half of the bun.
