Olives
Herbs & Citrus
Oil & Seasoning
Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Olives
In a large mixing bowl, combine the mixed olives. If the olives are whole, consider slicing them in half to allow for better absorption of the marinade.
- 2
Add Herbs and Citrus
Add the chopped fresh rosemary, chopped fresh thyme, orange zest, and orange juice to the bowl with the olives.
Marinade
- 3
Combine Oil and Seasoning
In a separate small bowl, whisk together the extra virgin olive oil, crushed garlic cloves, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- 4
Combine Everything
Pour the oil mixture over the olives and herbs in the large bowl. Gently toss the ingredients together to ensure the olives are evenly coated with the marinade.
Marinating
- 5
Let it Marinate
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or transfer the mixture to an airtight container. Allow the olives to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, but ideally overnight for the best flavor.
