Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Apples

Wash, core, and slice the apples into thin wedges. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Pecans

In a skillet over medium heat, add the candied pecans and toast for about 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently until they become aromatic. Remove from heat and set aside.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Caramelize the Apples

In the same skillet, add the butter and let it melt over medium heat. Once melted, add the sliced apples and sprinkle with brown sugar and ground cinnamon. Stir gently to coat the apples evenly.

  2. 4

    Add Apple Brandy

After about 5 minutes, when the apples start to soften, add the apple brandy to the skillet. Continue to cook for another 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the apples are tender and caramelized.

Serving

  1. 5

    Plate the Dish

Spoon the caramelized apples into serving bowls. Top each bowl with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and sprinkle the toasted candied pecans over the ice cream.

  2. 6

    Enjoy!

Serve warm and enjoy the delightful combination of caramelized apples, creamy vanilla ice cream, and crunchy pecans.
