Method

Preparation of Prime Ribeye

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Take the prime ribeye steak and season both sides generously with salt and black pepper. Let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill or a cast-iron skillet over high heat for about 10 minutes until it is very hot.

  3. 3

    Cook the Steak

Place the seasoned ribeye on the hot grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Adjust the time according to your desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Once cooked to your liking, remove the steak from the heat and let it rest for 10 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.

Preparation of Chimichurri Sauce

  1. 5

    Prepare the Herbs

Finely chop the fresh parsley and cilantro. You can also use a food processor for a finer consistency.

  2. 6

    Mix the Ingredients

In a bowl, combine the chopped herbs, minced garlic cloves, red wine vinegar, olive oil, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed.

  3. 7

    Let it Rest

Let the chimichurri sauce sit for at least 15-20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

Serving

  1. 8

    Slice and Serve

After resting, slice the prime ribeye steak against the grain. Serve it with a generous spoonful of chimichurri sauce on top.
