Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Chicken

Season the S. Carolina chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Grill or pan-sear the chicken over medium heat for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked. Let it rest before slicing.

  2. 2

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet, cook the bacon slices over medium heat until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess fat.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Eggs

Place the eggs in a pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil. Once boiling, cover the pot and remove it from the heat. Let sit for 10-12 minutes. Transfer the eggs to an ice bath to cool before peeling.

  4. 4

    Chop Vegetables

Chop the romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces. Dice the avocado, chop the tomatoes, and thinly slice the red onion.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Combine Ingredients

In a large salad bowl, layer the chopped romaine lettuce as the base. Arrange sliced chicken, diced avocado, diced tomatoes, sliced red onion, crumbled bacon, and sliced hard-boiled eggs on top.

  2. 6

    Add Blue Cheese

Sprinkle the blue cheese over the top of the assembled salad.

  3. 7

    Serve

Serve the Cobb salad immediately, optionally with your favorite dressing on the side.
