Chicken Marinade
Grilling
Method
Marinating the Chicken
- 1
Prepare the Marinade
In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and dried thyme. Whisk together until fully mixed.
- 2
Marinate the Chicken
Place the chicken breasts in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring all pieces are well-coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish, then refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for maximum flavor.
Grilling the Chicken
- 3
Preheat the Grill
Prepare your grill by preheating it to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 400°F). If using charcoal, allow the coals to ash over and become glowing before cooking.
- 4
Grill the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard any leftover marinade. Place the chicken breasts on the grill. Grill for 6-7 minutes on one side without moving them, then flip and grill for another 6-7 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- 5
Rest the Chicken
Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest on a plate for 5 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute for a tender bite.
- 6
Serve
Garnish with fresh herbs if desired. Serve the grilled chicken breast with your choice of sides.
