Tea Preparation
- 1
Boil Water
In a medium-sized pot, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil.
- 2
Brew Tea
Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add 4 black tea bags. Let the tea steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on your desired strength.
- 3
Remove Tea Bags
After steeping, carefully remove the tea bags from the pot and discard them.
Sweetening & Flavoring
- 4
Add Sugar
While the tea is still warm, add 1 cup of granulated sugar. Stir well until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- 5
Prepare Peaches
Wash and slice the 2 medium fresh peaches, removing the pit. Add the peach slices to the sweetened tea.
- 6
Mash Peaches
Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently mash the peach slices in the tea to release their juices.
Chilling & Serving
- 7
Cool the Tea
Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours until chilled.
- 8
Serve Over Ice
To serve, fill a glass with ice cubes, pour the chilled sweet peach tea over the ice, and garnish with fresh mint leaves.
