Egg Mixture

Blackberry Sauce

Cooking Ingredients

Method

Blackberry Sauce Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Blackberry Sauce

In a saucepan, combine blackberries, sugar, and water. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to a simmer. Cook for about 10 minutes, or until the blackberries break down and the mixture thickens slightly. Stir in lemon juice and remove from heat. Set aside to cool.

Sandwich Assembly

  1. 2

    Assemble the Sandwich

Take 4 slices of brioche bread, and on each slice, layer a slice of country ham and a slice of brie cheese. Top with the remaining brioche slices to form sandwiches.

Egg Mixture Preparation

  1. 3

    Prepare the Egg Mixture

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper until fully combined.

Cooking the Sandwiches

  1. 4

    Cook the Sandwiches

Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for a few seconds on each side. Place the soaked sandwich in the skillet and cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side. Repeat with remaining sandwiches, adding more butter as needed.

Serving

  1. 5

    Serve

Cut each sandwich in half and serve warm, drizzled with the blackberry sauce.
