Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

Cut in Butter
Add the cold, unsalted butter to the dry mixture. Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, cut the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, egg, and vanilla extract. Gradually add this mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.

Gently fold in your chosen seasonal fruit and the cinnamon, being careful not to overmix the dough.
Baking

Shape the Scones
On a lightly floured surface, turn the dough out and shape it into a circle about 1-inch thick. Cut the circle into 8 wedges or use a biscuit cutter for round scones.

Place the scones on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until they are golden brown on top.
