Melt Chocolate and Butter
In a heatproof bowl, combine the dark chocolate and unsalted butter. Melt them together in a microwave or over a double boiler until smooth. Stir well and set aside to cool slightly.

Mix Egg Mixture
In a separate bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, large eggs, large egg yolks, and vanilla extract until well combined and slightly frothy.
- 4
Combine Mixtures
Gradually add the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, stirring constantly to prevent the eggs from cooking.
- 5
Add Flour and Salt
Sift in the all-purpose flour and add a pinch of salt. Gently fold the mixture until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- 6
Pour into Ramekins
Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins, filling them about 3/4 full.

Dust the tops of the lava cakes with powdered sugar. Serve immediately with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and fresh berries on the side.
