Method
Preparing the Salad
- 1
Chop Romaine Lettuce
Rinse the Romaine lettuce under cold water, and then dry it using a salad spinner or by patting it with a paper towel. Chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place it in a large salad bowl.
- 2
Add Cherry Tomatoes
Rinse the cherry tomatoes, slice them in half, and add them to the bowl with the chopped Romaine lettuce.
- 3
Prepare Parmesan
Use a vegetable peeler or grater to shave or grate the Parmesan cheese. Sprinkle it over the salad.
- 4
Add Croutons
Pour the croutons over the salad mixture in the bowl.
Making the Dressing
- 5
Combine Dressing Ingredients
In a medium bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, lemon juice, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard until well combined.
- 6
Season the Dressing
Add salt and black pepper to taste, and mix well. Adjust seasoning as needed.
Assembling the Salad
- 7
Combine Salad and Dressing
Pour the prepared dressing over the salad mixture in the large bowl and toss gently until all the ingredients are well coated.
- 8
Add Protein (Optional)
If desired, add smoked salmon, shrimp, or grilled chicken breast on top of the salad. For the chicken, grill it until fully cooked, then slice before adding.
- 9
Serve the Salad
Serve the Caesar salad immediately in individual bowls or on a platter, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
