Measure and combine
Add 2 oz light rum, 0.5 oz blue curaçao, 0.5 oz fresh lime juice and 0.25 oz simple syrup to a cocktail shaker.

Add ice and shake
Fill the shaker with ice cubes (about 4 standard cubes). Seal and shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds until well chilled and slightly diluted.

Prepare glass
Fill a highball or Collins glass with 1 cup crushed ice, leaving about 1 inch of headroom.

Strain and top
Double-strain the shaken mixture over the crushed ice (this keeps fragments of ice and fruit bits out). Immediately top with 3 oz club soda (or lemon-lime soda if you prefer a sweeter, fizzy finish).

Garnish and serve
Gently stir once to combine (2–3 rotations). Garnish with a lime wheel on the rim and an optional mint sprig. Serve with a straw.
