Method

Fish Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Fish

In a bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, garlic powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add the white fish fillets and coat them well. Let them marinate for at least 20 minutes.

  2. 2

    Grill the Fish

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the marinated fish fillets on the grill. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork. Remove from the grill and let it rest.

Cabbage Slaw Preparation

  1. 3

    Prepare the Slaw

In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage, grated carrot, and chopped cilantro. Add lime juice and salt, and toss everything together until well mixed. Set aside to allow flavors to meld.

Chipotle Sauce Preparation

  1. 4

    Mix the Sauce

In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, minced chipotle peppers, lime juice, and garlic powder. Stir well until smooth and uniform. Adjust seasoning with more lime juice or chipotle to taste.

Assemble Tacos

  1. 5

    Assemble the Tacos

Warm the corn tortillas on a dry skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side. Place a portion of grilled fish on each tortilla, top with cabbage slaw, and drizzle with chipotle sauce. Serve with lime wedges on the side.
