Meat and Vegetables

Method

Prepare the Steak and Vegetables

  1. 1

    Sauté Steak

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the sliced ribeye steak. Cook for about 3-5 minutes until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.

  2. 2

    Sauté Peppers and Onions

In the same skillet, add a bit of oil if needed, then add the sliced green and red peppers and onions. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender and slightly caramelized. Return the cooked steak to the skillet and mix well.

Prepare the Beer Cheese Sauce

  1. 3

    Make the Sauce

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the Ruthie beer and cream cheese. Stir until the cream cheese is melted and smooth. Gradually add in the shredded cheddar cheese, stirring continuously until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce is creamy. Season with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to taste.

Assemble the Sandwich

  1. 4

    Build the Cheesesteak

Slice the hoagie rolls lengthwise, but not all the way through. Fill each roll with the sautéed steak and vegetable mixture. Generously drizzle the warm beer cheese sauce over the filling.

  2. 5

    Serve

Serve immediately while warm and enjoy your Exile Cheesesteak!
