Chicken Preparation
- 1
Marinate the Chicken
In a bowl, mix olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Coat the chicken breasts with this mixture and let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- 2
Grill the Chicken
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the marinated chicken breasts for about 6-7 minutes per side or until fully cooked and internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- 3
Add BBQ Sauce
During the last few minutes of grilling, brush BBQ sauce generously on both sides of the chicken breasts. Allow it to caramelize slightly on the grill.
Coleslaw Preparation
- 4
Prepare the Vegetables
Finely shred the green cabbage and grate the carrot. Place them in a large mixing bowl.
- 5
Mix the Dressing
In a separate bowl, combine mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper. Whisk until smooth and well combined.
- 6
Combine
Pour the dressing over the cabbage and carrot mixture. Toss everything together until the vegetables are well coated with the dressing. Refrigerate for at least 15 minutes before serving.
Sandwich Assembly
- 7
Assemble the Sandwich
Slice the burger buns in half. Place a grilled chicken breast on the bottom half of each bun and top with a generous amount of coleslaw. Place the top half of the bun on top and serve immediately.
