Method
Syrup Preparation
- 1
Make the Lavender-Blueberry Syrup
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the dried lavender buds, blueberries, sugar, and water. Stir well and bring to a gentle simmer.
- 2
Simmer the Mixture
Allow the mixture to simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves and the blueberries break down.
- 3
Strain the Syrup
Remove the saucepan from heat. Strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve into a glass jar to remove solids, pressing down on the blueberries to extract as much liquid as possible.
- 4
Add Lemon Juice
Stir in the fresh lemon juice to the strained syrup. Let it cool to room temperature before using.
Drink Assembly
- 5
Prepare the Glass
In a tall glass, add ice cubes to fill it halfway.
- 6
Combine Ingredients
Pour 1/4 cup of the lavender-blueberry syrup over the ice. Add fresh blueberries and lemon slices.
- 7
Add Soda Water
Top the glass with soda water, filling it to the rim. Stir gently to combine.
- 8
Garnish and Serve
Garnish with additional lemon slices or a sprig of lavender if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy your Lavender Crush!
