Gather all the ingredients: dark rum, Campari, pineapple juice, fresh lime juice, and ice cubes.

In a cocktail shaker, combine 1.5 cups of dark rum, 0.75 cups of Campari, 1 cup of pineapple juice, and 0.5 cups of fresh lime juice.

Add ice cubes to the shaker, close it tightly, and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until well chilled.

Strain the mixture into a chilled glass filled with fresh ice. Optionally, garnish with a slice of pineapple or a lime wedge.
