Hummus Preparation

    Blend the Ingredients

    In a food processor, combine the canned chickpeas, tahini, chopped red bell pepper, garlic clove, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, cumin, and water. Blend until smooth.

    Taste and Adjust

    Taste the hummus and adjust the seasoning as necessary, adding more salt or lemon juice to taste.

Pico de Gallo Preparation

    Chop the Ingredients

    Finely dice the tomatoes, red onion, jalapeño (remove seeds for less heat), and chop the cilantro.

    Mix and Season

    In a bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, red onion, jalapeño, cilantro, lime juice, and salt. Mix well.

Pita Preparation

    Preheat the Oven

    Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

    Prepare the Pita

    Brush the pita bread with olive oil and sprinkle with salt on both sides.

    Toast the Pita

    Place the pita bread on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes or until golden and crispy.

Assembly and Serving

    Plate the Hummus

    Spread the red pepper hummus onto a large platter.

    Add Pico de Gallo

    Spoon the pico de gallo over the hummus.

    Drizzle Olive Oil
