Brownie Cookie

Prepare the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.

Mix the Wet Ingredients
In a large bowl, melt the unsalted butter. Add granulated sugar and brown sugar, whisking until combined. Then beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until smooth.

Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

Combine Mixtures
Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips.

Bake the Cookies
Spread the batter into the prepared baking dish. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Allow the brownie cookie to cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before cutting into squares.

In a saucepan, combine granulated sugar and cocoa powder. Add butter and milk, and bring to a boil over medium heat.

Reduce heat and let it simmer for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
Whipped Cream

Whip the Cream
In a mixing bowl, combine heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Using a hand mixer or stand mixer, whip until soft peaks form.
Caramel Sauce

Prepare the Caramel
In a saucepan, heat granulated sugar over medium heat, stirring constantly until melted and golden brown.

Carefully add the butter and heavy cream to the melted sugar. Stir until smooth and remove from heat. Add vanilla extract.
