Burger Preparation

Prepare the Beef Patties
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Mix gently until combined, then form into two equal patties.

Prepare the Buns and Toppings
While the patties are cooking, wash the lettuce and slice the tomato. Cut the hamburger buns in half and toast them lightly on the grill or in a toaster.

Assemble the Burger
On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked beef patty, a slice of tomato, and a tablespoon of ketchup. Top with the other half of the bun.

Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into even-sized fries, about 1/4 inch thick.

Bake the Fries
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread the fries on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
