Method

Preparing the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Forming the Patties

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until just combined. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, about ¾ inch thick.

  2. 2

    Grilling the Patties

Preheat your grill or stovetop grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the burger patties on the grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, or until cooked to your desired level.

Making the Special Sauce

  1. 3

    Mixing the Sauce

In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and pickle relish. Stir well until all ingredients are fully incorporated. Set aside.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 4

    Preparing the Toppings

Wash the lettuce leaf and slice the tomato into thin rounds.

  2. 5

    Building the Burger

On the bottom half of each burger bun, spread a generous amount of the special sauce. Place a grilled patty on top, followed by a lettuce leaf and tomato slices. Cap with the top half of the bun.
