Brussels Sprouts
Caesar Dressing
Method
Preparing the Brussels Sprouts
- 1
Trim and Halve the Brussels Sprouts
Start by rinsing the Brussels sprouts under cold water. Trim the stem ends and remove any yellow or wilted leaves. Cut each Brussels sprout in half lengthwise.
- 2
Toss with Seasonings
In a large mixing bowl, combine the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Toss until the Brussels sprouts are evenly coated.
Cooking the Brussels Sprouts
- 3
Fry Brussels Sprouts
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the Brussels sprouts cut side down in a single layer. Fry for about 5-7 minutes until the cut sides are golden brown and crispy, then flip and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until tender and crispy all over.
- 4
Drain Excess Oil
Once cooked, remove the Brussels sprouts from the skillet and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
Making the Caesar Dressing
- 5
Combine Ingredients
In a medium bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper until smooth and well combined.
- 6
Taste and Adjust
Taste the dressing and adjust the seasoning as necessary, adding more salt, pepper, or lemon juice to suit your preference.
Serving
- 7
Plate the Brussels Sprouts
Transfer the crispy Brussels sprouts to a serving platter. Drizzle the house-made Caesar dressing over the top or serve it on the side for dipping.
- 8
Enjoy!
Serve immediately while hot and crispy, garnished with additional grated Parmesan if desired.
