Preparation of Ingredients

Wash and Chop Romaine
Rinse the romaine lettuce under cold water. Remove any wilted leaves, and chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces.

Grate Parmesan Cheese
Using a grater, finely grate the Parmesan cheese. Set aside half for the salad and half for the dressing.

Making the Dressing

Combine Dressing Ingredients
In a small bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, anchovy paste, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper.

Whisk Until Smooth
Whisk the dressing ingredients together until well combined and smooth. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese reserved for the dressing.
Assembling the Salad

Combine Salad Ingredients
In a large bowl, add the chopped romaine lettuce, croutons, and the reserved Parmesan cheese. Toss gently to combine.

Dress the Salad
Drizzle the Caesar dressing over the salad and toss until the lettuce and croutons are evenly coated.

Add Protein (Optional)
If using, slice the cooked protein and place it on top of the salad. Serve immediately.
