- 2
- 3
Strain (if blended)
If blended, pour the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve or nut milk bag into a bowl or pitcher, pressing to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard or save the pulp for compost or baking.
- 4
Finish and serve
Stir in fresh lemon juice and a pinch of salt to taste. Add ice if desired and give a final stir. Serve immediately for maximum nutrients.
Carrot-Orange Immunity Juice
- 5
Prepare ingredients
Wash and roughly chop carrots. Juice or segment oranges to yield about 1 cup of juice. Peel ginger; measure turmeric.
- 6
Juice
If using a juicer: run carrots and ginger through the juicer and combine with the fresh orange juice in a pitcher. If using a blender: add carrots, orange juice, ginger, turmeric, and 1/2 cup cold water to the blender and blend until smooth, then strain through a fine-mesh sieve or nut milk bag to remove fiber.
- 7
Season and sweeten
Stir in lemon juice, honey or agave if using, and a pinch of black pepper to help turmeric absorption. Taste and adjust sweetness or acidity as desired.
- 8
Serve
Pour over ice and serve immediately. Shake or stir before serving if separation occurs.
Beet Berry Boost
- 9
Prepare produce
Peel and chop the beet into small pieces. Core and chop the red apple. If using frozen berries, let them sit for a few minutes to loosen or use a little extra water.
- 10
Blend or juice
If using a juicer: feed beet, apple, and berries through the juicer and collect the juice. If using a blender: add beet, berries, apple, 1/2 cup cold water, and blend until smooth. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve or nut milk bag for a smoother juice.
- 11
Finish
Stir in fresh lime juice and maple syrup if using. Taste and adjust sweetness. Serve chilled over ice.
Ginger Lemon Refresher
- 12
Make ginger infusion
Bruise or lightly crush the sliced ginger to release flavor. In a small saucepan, combine the ginger with 1 cup of the cold water and bring to a gentle simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let steep 5–10 minutes for stronger flavor. Strain to remove ginger slices.
- 13
Combine and sweeten
In a pitcher, combine the strained ginger infusion with the remaining 1 cup cold or sparkling water and the fresh lemon juice. Stir in honey or simple syrup while the liquid is still slightly warm so it dissolves easily; adjust to taste.
- 14
Chill and serve
Add ice and mint leaves to the pitcher or individual glasses. Pour the ginger lemon refresher over ice and garnish with extra mint if desired. Serve immediately.
