Cherry Compote

Method

Pork Chop

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork Chops

Season the pork chops with salt and black pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the pork chops for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.

  2. 2

    Add Maple Glaze

In a small bowl, mix maple syrup, soy sauce, minced garlic, and Dijon mustard. Pour the glaze over the pork chops during the last 2 minutes of cooking, allowing it to caramelize.

Romanesco

  1. 3

    Sauté the Romanesco

In a separate pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add Romanesco florets, salt, and lemon juice. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until tender but still crisp.

Cherry Compote

  1. 4

    Make the Cherry Compote

In a saucepan, combine fresh cherries, sugar, and water. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, and let it cook for about 10-12 minutes until the cherries are soft and the mixture thickens. Stir in vanilla extract before serving.
