Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Remove the ribeye steak from the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature for about 30 minutes. Pat it dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub the steak with olive oil, then generously season both sides with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill or cast-iron pan over high heat until it is very hot.

  4. 4

    Cook the Steak

Place the steak on the grill or in the pan. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, or until a nice crust forms. Flip the steak and cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, adjusting time for desired doneness.

  5. 5

    Add Butter and Herbs

During the last 2 minutes of cooking, add butter and rosemary to the pan. Use a spoon to baste the steak with the melted butter for added flavor.

  6. 6

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from heat and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.

  7. 7

    Serve

Slice the steak against the grain and serve immediately.
