Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the egg mixture

In a medium-sized mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined.

  2. 2

    Heat the skillet

Place a skillet or griddle over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of butter. Allow it to melt and coat the surface.

  3. 3

    Soak the brioche

Take one slice of brioche bread and dip it into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are well coated. Allow any excess mixture to drip off.

  4. 4

    Cook the French toast

Place the soaked brioche slice onto the skillet. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and slightly crispy. Repeat this process with the remaining slices, adding more butter as needed.

  5. 5

    Serve

Once all slices are cooked, stack them on a plate. Serve warm with berry jam, Vermont maple syrup, and a dusting of powdered sugar to taste.
