Preparing the Salmon

Marinate the Salmon
In a bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Whisk together until well combined. Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Ensure the salmon is coated evenly. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F or 190°C).

Grill the Salmon
Remove the salmon from the marinade and place it on the grill skin-side down. Grill for about 6-8 minutes on one side, then carefully flip and grill for an additional 4-6 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). Remove from the grill and set aside.
