Method

SWEETS

  1. 1

    Prepare the Dough

If using store-bought pizza dough, let it come to room temperature. If making dough from scratch, prepare it according to your preferred recipe and allow it to rise until doubled in size.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.

  3. 3

    Roll Out the Dough

On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large circle about 1/4 inch thick. Make sure it is even throughout.

  4. 4

    Fill the Calzone

On one half of the rolled-out dough, place the chocolate bars, mini marshmallows, chopped nuts, and drizzle caramel sauce over the top. Ensure to leave a small border around the edge.

  5. 5

    Seal the Calzone

Fold the other half of the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal tightly. You can use a fork to press down the edges for a decorative touch.

  6. 6

    Prepare for Baking

In a small bowl, whisk the egg and brush it over the top of the calzone for a golden finish. If desired, sprinkle cinnamon on top.

  7. 7

    Bake the Calzone

Place the calzone on the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.

  8. 8

    Cool and Serve

Once baked, remove from oven and allow to cool for a few minutes. Dust with powdered sugar before slicing and serving.
