Prepare

Juice citrus
If not already prepared, freshly juice the grapefruit and lemon. Strain any pith or seeds so the juice is smooth.
Mixing
- 3
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice (about 3/4 full). Add Tito's Vodka (2 fl oz), Aperol (0.75 fl oz), St‑Germain (0.5 fl oz), fresh grapefruit juice (1.5 fl oz), fresh lemon juice (0.5 fl oz), and simple syrup (0.25 fl oz) if you prefer a slightly sweeter balance.
- 4
Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is frosty and the mixture is well chilled and slightly diluted.
- 5
Discard ice or water from the chilled glass. Double-strain the cocktail into the chilled coupe/martini glass using a Hawthorne strainer and a fine mesh strainer to catch any pulp or small ice chips for a silky finish.
Garnish & Serve
- 6
Express the oils of a grapefruit twist over the drink by holding the twist over the glass and pinching it so the peel faces down. Rub the peel along the rim if desired, then drop the twist into the cocktail or hang a thin wheel on the rim.
- 7
Optionally float a small edible flower on top for an elegant presentation. Serve immediately.
