Prepare the Wings

Clean the Wings
Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

Apply Dry Rub
In a bowl, mix together all the dry rub ingredients. Generously coat the wings with the dry rub, ensuring they are evenly covered. Let them sit for 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.
Prepare the Smoker

Soak Hickory Chips
Soak the hickory wood chips in water for at least 30 minutes before smoking to prevent them from burning too quickly.

Smoke the Wings
Smoke the wings for approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the wings are crispy.
Prepare the Ranch Dressing

Mix Ranch Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, dried dill, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Whisk until smooth and well combined.

Chill the Dressing
Cover the ranch dressing and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Serve

Plate the Wings
Once the wings are done smoking, remove them from the smoker and let them rest for a few minutes.

Serve the smoked wings with the chilled ranch dressing on the side for dipping.
