Salad Ingredients

Method

Salad Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

If not already cooked, grill or poach the chicken breast until fully cooked, about 15-20 minutes. Let it cool, then chop into bite-sized pieces.

  2. 2

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from skillet and drain excess fat on a paper towel. Once cooled, chop into small pieces.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Carrots

Peel the carrot and grate or julienne it into thin strips.

  4. 4

    Boil the Egg

Place the egg in a pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 9-12 minutes. Remove from heat, cool in ice water, then peel and slice.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Olives and Tomatoes

Slice the black olives in half and halve the cherry tomatoes.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Salad

In a large bowl, combine the chopped chicken, cooked bacon, grated carrots, sliced hard-boiled egg, halved black olives, halved cherry tomatoes, and bleu cheese crumbles. Toss gently to mix.

Serving

  1. 7

    Dress the Salad

Serve the salad in individual bowls or plates and add a side of your chosen dressing for drizzling on top before eating.
