Method

Prepare the Brisket

  1. 1

    Season the Brisket

Rub the smoked brisket with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder evenly on all sides. Let it sit for 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.

  2. 2

    Slice the Brisket

After resting, slice the brisket thinly against the grain to ensure tenderness.

Cook the Vegetables

  1. 3

    Sauté the Onions and Pepperoncini

In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Once hot, add the sliced red onion and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until translucent. Then add the pepperoncini and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Assemble the Sandwich

  1. 4

    Layer the Ingredients

Take a hoagie roll and layer the sliced brisket, followed by the sautéed onions and pepperoncini. Top with provolone cheese slices.

  2. 5

    Melt the Cheese

Place the assembled sandwich under a broiler for about 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
