Burger Patties

Sautéed Mushrooms

Method

Prepare Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well using your hands until evenly combined.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about ¾ inch thick.

Sauté Mushrooms

  1. 3

    Heat Butter

In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.

  2. 4

    Cook Mushrooms

Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are golden brown and tender.

  3. 5

    Add Garlic and Seasoning

Stir in minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the garlic is fragrant. Remove from heat and set aside.

Cook Burger Patties

  1. 6

    Preheat Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. 7

    Cook Patties

Place the burger patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side until browned, then flip.

  3. 8

    Add Cheese

After flipping, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the burger is cooked to your desired doneness.

Assemble Burgers

  1. 9

    Toast Buns (Optional)

If desired, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 10

    Build the Burger

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf (if using), followed by the cooked burger patty with melted Swiss cheese, sautéed mushrooms, and tomato slices (if using).

  3. 11

    Add Condiments

Top with ketchup and mustard to taste, then close with the top half of the bun.
