Method

Cooking the Rice

  1. 1

    Rinse the Rice

In a fine mesh strainer, rinse the white rice under cold water until the water runs clear to remove excess starch.

  2. 2

    Cook the Rice

In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed rice, water, and butter. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and let simmer for about 18 minutes or until the rice is tender and the water is absorbed.

  3. 3

    Fluff the Rice

Remove the saucepan from heat and let it sit covered for an additional 5 minutes. Fluff the rice with a fork before serving.

Preparing the Salmon

  1. 4

    Season the Salmon

Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Rub the olive oil over the fillets, then sprinkle with lemon pepper seasoning, salt, and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 5

    Cook the Salmon

In a non-stick skillet, heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned salmon fillets skin-side down and cook for 4-5 minutes. Flip the fillets and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Serving

  1. 6

    Plate the Dish

On each plate, create a bed of the fluffy rice. Place a cooked salmon fillet on top of the rice.

  2. 7

    Garnish and Serve

Garnish the salmon with fresh lemon slices and chopped parsley before serving. Enjoy your Lemon Pepper Salmon!
