Method
Preparation
- 1
Clean the Wings
Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
- 2
Heat the Oil
In a deep fryer or large heavy pot, heat the vegetable oil to 375°F (190°C). Use a deep-fry thermometer to monitor the temperature.
Cooking
- 3
Fry the Wings
Carefully add the chicken wings to the hot oil in batches, frying them for about 10-12 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to remove the wings and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- 4
Prepare the Buffalo Sauce
In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Once melted, add the hot sauce, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir until well combined and heated through.
Tossing and Serving
- 5
Toss the Wings
In a large mixing bowl, add the hot fried wings and pour the buffalo sauce over them. Toss the wings until they are evenly coated.
- 6
Serve
Serve the buffalo wings hot with ranch dressing and bleu cheese dressing on the side for dipping.
