Preparation of Ingredients

  1. 1

    Prepare the Brisket

If not already shredded, shred the smoked brisket into bite-sized pieces and set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Vegetables

Wash and chop the lettuce, tomatoes, jalapenos, black olives, and scallions. Set aside each ingredient in separate bowls.

Assembly

  1. 3

    Layer the Chips

On a large baking sheet or serving platter, spread the corn tortilla chips evenly to form a base layer.

  2. 4

    Add Chili

Spoon the canned chili evenly over the layer of tortilla chips.

  3. 5

    Add Cheeses

Sprinkle the shredded cheddar and jack cheeses evenly over the chili.

  4. 6

    Add Smoked Brisket

Distribute the shredded smoked brisket over the cheese layer.

Baking

  1. 7

    Bake the Nachos

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the assembled nachos in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Final Assembly

  1. 8

    Add Toppings

Once baked, remove the nachos from the oven and top with the shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sliced jalapenos, sliced black olives, and chopped scallions.

  2. 9

    Serve with Dips

Serve the nachos hot, accompanied by salsa and sour cream for dipping.
